Gunfire erupted on Elm St. for the second time in two days Wednesday night. At approximately 10:20 PM the Ithaca Police Department responded to the 500 block of Elm St. Officers found bullet casings in the street & a bedroom wall inside a home struck by stray bullets.
The previous evening gunfire had been reported a few blocks down Elm St. A gunshot victim was dropped off at the Emergency Room of Cayuga Medical Center shortly thereafter.
This follows a double drive by shooting on West Buffalo Street, with the same address targeted by gunfire twice in one night.
