IPD, Bangs Respond To Suspected Overdose At McGraw House

The Ithaca Police Department & Bangs Ambulance responded to a suspected overdose in front of McGraw House retirement home on Geneva street around 5:45 PM Wednesday afternoon.

A report of a man turning purple while sleeping on the bench of McGraw House instigated the emergency response. The individual appeared to be conscious and conversing with first responders just before 6 PM.

Bangs Ambulance and Ithaca Police Officers attended to an individual on the bench in front of of McGraw House.

McGraw House is adjacent to the parking lot of The Hotel Ithaca and nearby the 7-Eleven gas station, locations that have recently transformed into an Open Drug Scene.

The site was clear of emergency personnel by about 6:10 PM.
