ITHACA, N.Y. — A shooting occurred near Five Guys Burgers & Fries at the Ithaca Shopping Plaza on the evening of Feb. 7, 2023. Calls about the incident began at approximately 8:10 p.m., with witnesses reporting gunfire from a gray Volvo.
The Ithaca Police Department responded quickly to the scene and briefly shut down the shopping plaza as they conducted an investigation, which included reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses. No injuries were reported.
This marks the second shooting incident near Five Guys Burgers & Fries at the Ithaca Shopping Plaza, with another shooting having taken place in December 2021.
