Arson Fire At Salvation Army Store

The Ithaca Police and Fire Departments responded to the Salvation Army Store on Elmira Road around 11 AM Tuesday the 22nd for a report of a fire inside the store.

During the investigation it was determined that a clothes rack was intentionally set on fire by an unknown female shopper. The fire was extinguished without any major damage or injury.

The female suspect was described as white with a thin build, between five foot nine to six feet tall, with long brown hair and in her mid 30’s.

By 1 PM Tuesday the store had reopened.
