Outreach Worker Tammy Baker Saves A Man’s Life The Day She Is Declared A Hero

Outreach Worker Tammy Baker found a man unresponsive at DeWitt Park late Wednesday morning. After summoning assistance, an Ithaca Police Department officer administered Narcan and revived the individual from a suspected overdose. The individual was transported to Cayuga Medical Center for medical treatment.

Earlier in the day Baker had been named the September Community Hero of the Month by the Tompkins Chamber for her work with the Community Outreach Worker Program.
