A reported domestic incident and attempted stabbing on East Green Street culminated in gunfire that stuck a glass door to Ithaca City Hall around 10:38 PM, Wednesday July 3rd. A source confirms that this incident was a shooting which was captured on City Hall’s security camera.
The below photograph shows the door that was struck with gunfire highlighted in red in addition to the security camera that captured the incident.
A photograph posted on Reddit Wednesday evening showed the police response to the shooting.
A responding officer requested a SIREN emergency notification be put out to avoid the area.

Dispatch audio indicates that four individuals were reportedly hiding from the response to this incident nearby the Asteri building, with one of those individuals said to have fled inside.
