One Stop Kicks Shoe Store Burglarized Overnight

At approximately 3:35 AM, a break-in occurred at One Stop Kicks Shoe Store on Cayuga street in Ithaca, with the front door’s glass smashed by unknown individuals. One of the owners reported that “a lot” was stolen during the incident. Responding officers found stolen merchandise strewn in the road.

The suspects, described as black males wearing surgical masks, fled the scene in two vehicles. One vehicle was identified as a gray Kia Soul, while the other was a white Hyundai Sonata. The exact number of individuals involved in the break-in remains unclear, with a witness estimating the group to be between four and seven individuals.

Following the break in, Ithaca Police requested New York State Police assistance in patrolling the city in anticipation of further break ins. This pattern has emerged following a cluster of three burglaries within an hour on July 8th.

Subsequently, New York State Police and Tompkins County Sherriff attempted to pull over vehicles matching the descriptions, one of which was stolen. New York State Police and the Tompkins County Sherriff have not responded to a request for further information at this time.
