The victim reported that prior to calling the police, Morris loaded up a bag of items and was about to leave the store without paying.

The victim confronted Morris and tried to prevent her from leaving the store. Morris is alleged to have then pulled out a knife during the brief confrontation, eventually fleeing through the back emergency door of the business.

Responding officers located Morris outside of the store behind an adjacent business. Morris was taken into custody without incident.

Morris was arraigned by Ithaca City Court Judge Seth Peacock for Attempted Robbery 1st Degree, a Class C Felony and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $5000 cash bail / $5000 insurance bond.

In 2015, Morris was sentenced as a youthful offender to five years of probation for her involvement in an armed carjacking on March 28th, 2014.
